Antiparos and Paros - a photo tour

Livadia beach on quiet Antiparos. Barely a soul on the beach today

We walked this 1000 year old Byzantine path on Paros
that connected the town of Lefkes with the coast.
Many of the original pavement stones are marble.

Livadia on the island of Antiparos

Lefkes town in the hills of Paros. Used to be the capital of
Paros in the Middle Ages. Enjoyed exploring all it's narrow alleyways

View of the little port on Antiparos from Des and Elisa's apartment

Supply source for the great feta cheese we enjoy every day
in our Greek salads. These islands have so many stone walls,
 maybe even more than Ireland

There is a cat problem here, so many strays, but some are really cute like this one.
Frank and Des on one of our island cycles. There's an abundance
of these cute white and blue churches dotted all over the countryside.
It almost seems like there's one church for every family in some areas

Typical Cycladic style houses
A street in the older part of Antiparos town

Loved this quiet beach we had all to ourselves. It's September now
and already most tourists have left Antiparos and cafes are closing for the season

  1. So nice to see the gorgeous photos. We have had snow in Calgary and Banff so enjoyed looking at the warmth you're enjoying.
