We tested this little Hyudai for one day on some steep and rough backroads |

Lunching at our little studio apartment in Kamari |

Sunset-watching is the thing to do in Oia. Just look at the throngs lining the little streets all jostling for the best viewing spots |

The warm glow at sunset |

The coastline around Kamari where we stayed on the non-cliff side of the island where a room doesn't cost an arm and a leg |

Black sand beach at Kamari which got very, very hot to walk on |

On our last day just before riding down to the ferry, a little sampling at a beautifully situated winery overlooking the caldera |

And today we get to ride DOWN there!!!!! |

The very busy port, awaiting our very late ferry to Crete |
Loving the pictures. I especially love the light both day and sunset. I really must get to that area sometime. Looks amazing.

ReplyDeleteKamari Beach has changed a bit since I was a girl - sooo fancy now. I was there for a week back in 1988. BYO towel and a sprint to the water so your feet didn't fry!
ReplyDeleteYou must have been just an infant then Anne! Yes I'm sure it's way more developed now. The seafront promenade is just lined with restaurant after restaurant.
