For the last two days we have passed through quite a few beautiful and historic towns - to the point where they're starting to blend together now in our heads!
Worth (where we camped on Monday night), Miltenberg, Wertheim, Tauberbishofheim and Bad Mengentheim were all picturesque and historic towns. Once we left Wertheim, we had left the Main River and started following the Tauber River, along what is know as the Taubertal Radweg. This route is promoted as being one of the loveliest routes in Germany. It certainly has been a nice mix of woodland, farm land and cute villages, with views of vineyards on nearby steeply sloped hillsides.

Dinner tonight at our little country hotel. Pork, mushroom sauce and spatial. We both loved it and had such a huge appetite that there wasn't a bit left. |
Temperatures have been around 30C the last two days so riding was pretty tiring to say the least. So we opted to skip tent set-up and spoiled ourselves with hotels. The joy of being able to jump into a shower the minute you arrive sweaty and fatigued is immeasurable!
We covered 125 km in the last two days, which should keep us on target for meeting up with Nancy on Monday.

I don't even know how many km you plan to drive. Around 2500 again? Jirka Vor
